As a nursing leader, I realize that my professional development is lacking in several key areas. In delivering healthcare, I’m committed to using evidence-based medicine, interprofessional teamwork, and systems thinking. For me to be able to achieve this, I will need to develop and learn new skills in communication, critical thought, decision-making, and problem solving. I must also develop my leadership skills by working on conflict resolution and team-building strategies.
