It was a perceived problem of sleepiness that had affected a female 30-years-old for several weeks. She reported having feelings of restlessness or being on edge throughout the day, as well as difficulty concentrating and irritability—all of which were interfering with her daily life.
In order to address her concern, I asked her first to track any patterns she noticed when having difficulty sleeping (e.g. caffeine intake or stress levels). I also suggested that she research natural remedies, such as herbal teas or meditation to see if they might help her sleep better. Last but not least, I suggested that she do things throughout the day to help her relax before going to bed. For example, she might take a bath each night or read a book.
