What organizational method will you use for your informative speech? Why did you choose that method? 

In order to organize my speech in a topical manner, I’ll use the method of organizing information by topics. It involves categorizing information and organizing it into different topics or sections which are related in some way. It allows me to cover each topic in depth while making logical connections that increase audience understanding (Hudson 2017). This allows me the flexibility to adjust and add additional detail as required, depending on the event’s time restrictions (Hudson).

This approach is the best fit for my topic, which includes various topics related to climate changes such as their causes and possible solutions to mitigate its effects. This allows me to provide greater detail about the concepts without overwhelming listeners (Hudson 2017). Moreover, since this type of format encourages an interactive style of delivery I can incorporate audience members’ participation throughout by asking questions or requesting feedback during different stages which keeps people engaged and interested in what I am saying.(Hudson, 2017)

Conclusion: The topical method of organization is very effective for presenting complex issues like climate changes. Speakers can provide comprehensive overviews, while also managing their time and involving listeners in the discussion through interactive methods. It is for this very reason that I think the topical organization method would be a great choice to use in my climate change-related informative speech.
