The legal ethics of research papers
When faced with an ethical dilemma regarding circumcision, it is the responsibility of the nurse to give accurate information to the patient as well as their family to help them make a decision. The nurse should discuss any potential risks and benefits of the circumcision procedure, as well as provide alternatives. The nurse should be prepared to respond to any questions regarding the procedure, or the religious beliefs of either party that may influence their decision.
In addition, the nurse should remain impartial and let individuals come up with their own solution. This will respect each individual’s autonomy. To do this, nurses must be open to different views on this subject and recognize the complexity of this matter due its medical, cultural, and religious connotations. In the end, nurses must strive to find a solution that will satisfy all involved without compromising safety and quality standards.
