In the middle school, I would create an educational program to teach students ways to cope and respond to a friend who needs support. It would teach students how to manage stress by using positive techniques such as meditation, deep breathing, journaling, and exercise. The program would also provide information regarding how to recognize signs of distress and the symptoms that others may be experiencing, as well as resources for those who need help managing their emotions. Finaly, the program covers topics relating to mental awareness as well as tips about how friends can support one another during tough times. The overall goal of this program is to give students the knowledge and skill they need in order to handle difficult situations effectively.
