It is essential to create a communication system that allows information to be effectively moved between organizations to improve collaboration. Email or digital messaging platforms such as Slack are effective tools for exchanging documents, brainstorming and discussing project ideas with colleagues. Automated processes, such as cloud project management software, can streamline projects and give greater insight into their progress.
It is also beneficial to establish clear roles and responsibilities when working across multiple organizations so everyone knows who is accountable for certain actions – this way avoid miscommunication or duplication of effort by different employees. Regular meetings are also needed to review the progress of joint ventures and initiatives. This will ensure that all involved parties know what they have done so far, as well as any future issues.
In the end, if you have strong inter-organizational cooperation it is much more likely that meaningful results will occur as opposed to if every organization operated independently with no consideration of how its actions might impact other stakeholders.
