What concerns would you have about the mobile access of healthcare informatics systems in your clinical setting?

Mobile access to healthcare informatics in my clinic raises a lot of issues and questions that must be answered to protect patient information. First of all, any mobile device used should be sufficiently protected so that sensitive information is not exposed. I also want to check to see if the applications are compliant with regulations.

Secondly, I would also want assurance that users are properly trained on how use system correctly & securely i.e., understanding importance of strong passwords/encryption methods when transmitting documents between locations etc. Additionally, steps must be taken restrict who can access these systems – with appropriate logging processes put place -so only those authorized should be able view/modify information accordingly.

Finaly, consider what would happen if there were a problem. For example, if hackers gained unauthorized access to the system or hardware failed, resulting in loss of data. Backup strategies are therefore recommended so that any possible mishaps could be handled quickly and without compromising quality care. By addressing these various concerns then hopefully we will achieve desired goals set out for informatics project which includes both increased efficiency & better patient outcomes going forward.
