What are the perceived challenges do you expect to find with validity and trustworthiness in qualitative research?

In qualitative research, the main challenge is to ensure that data are accurate, unbiassed, and pertinent to the topic. This can be difficult to achieve due to various factors such as researcher bias, sample size limitations, or even a lack of sufficient access to participants/resources. Furthermore, due to the subjective nature of qualitative data—such as personal experiences, feelings, or opinions—it can be hard for researchers to objectively analyze results without succumbing to their own filters which could impact accuracy of findings.

A third challenge in qualitative research is triangulation. It means that you need to be able to compare multiple sources of information to validate/verify the results. In order to support the claims that a participant made in an interview, a researcher would also need other forms of evidence.

Finally, it’s important that researchers take measures towards establishing reliability when collecting and analyzing data; this involves making sure there are no discrepancies between multiple accounts from same source so that all interpretations are rooted in factual information rather than relying solely on personal interpretation which could alter results significantly over time.

By addressing the perceived problems related to validity, trustworthiness and qualitative research in general one can improve studies of higher quality for conclusions that are more reliable regardless of method used.
