I am cautiously optimistic about the results of the poll, which showed that 53% supported smoking being made illegal. The margin of error was +/-3%. Although this poll result suggests that such a measure may have majority support, its margin of errors is relatively large and could negatively impact the accuracy of its results when compared to those of other surveys or tests conducted in the area. It is therefore important not to draw any definitive conclusions until more research has taken place and further information/insights about the broader public’s opinion have been gathered.
