The ethical theories called relativism and situation ethics seem to be rampant in our society today many times overwhelming people with who have a well-developed sense of conscience. Do you agree or disagree with the above statement and why?

The statement above is partially true. My belief is that relativism and situational ethics are more common in today’s society. This is especially true when it comes time to make decisions about complex moral questions. People with mature consciences can be overwhelmed by all the options that are available, which makes it difficult to make decisions. However, this does not mean that these ethical theories should be discarded as they can provide useful perspectives on certain situations – allowing individuals to gain insights into how other people may approach similar dilemmas. Ultimately, having a strong sense of conscience is still important for making ethical choices but understanding how different theories might impact one’s opinion is equally essential for creating responsible solutions.
