Hierarchy of management: Strategic, managerial and operating.
Three levels of hierarchy in management play a key role in the success of an organization. The highest level of management involves the executives and board members setting goals and strategies for long-term success. The management level is made up of middle-level managers, who translate strategic plans into concrete steps through developing processes, allocating resource, taking decisions, and evaluating the results. Last but not least, the operational level is comprised of personnel who work on-site to carry out tactical procedures in support of strategic objectives. These tasks include customer service and product development.
Organizations can maintain their strategic direction while remaining flexible to change in the market or to meet customer needs by having all these levels work together to achieve common goals and exchange information on a regular basis. It allows companies to stay competitive within their industry while also delivering products/services to meet the needs of customers, which leads them to achieve its overall goal.
