The Technology Informatics Guiding Education Reform initiative (TIGER), a program designed to integrate technology in healthcare, is a programme that was created. This program is designed to provide resources for clinicians to access data that supports their decisions regarding patient care. It also offers educational opportunities, such as workshops and conferences, to encourage healthcare professionals to keep up with current trends/practices.
In my clinical setting TIGER has been utilized in various ways—one example being our implementation of an electronic health record (EHR) system which allows for more efficient data storage/retrieval as well as enhanced collaboration between departments. Our online portals allow patients to securely access and retrieve their personal records, or receive important information regarding upcoming appointment without the need to physically visit our office.
This initiative’s ultimate goal is to not only help healthcare professionals complete their tasks, but also expose them to the latest technologies. By doing this we can ensure that they get the best results both in terms of short-term and long-term outcomes.
