My ethical dilemma revolves around the implementation of a school vaccination policy. The issue has gained a lot of attention in recent years. There are pros and cons to it that must be taken into consideration before making any changes.
In one sense, the requirement that students be immunized could protect the health of public by controlling contagious disease and increasing herd immunity. This type of policy can also cause problems for people who are religious, philosophical or have financial concerns.
This is a difficult situation that requires both parties to be considered in order to find a fair solution. As such, further research should be conducted on what methods may best address these concerns while still protecting all individuals’ rights moving forward.
