The personality type has a major impact on the leadership style and skill. Understanding one’s personality type can help in identifying personal strengths and weaknesses in leadership positions. In this essay, I will examine the Jung Typology Test to determine whether my personality can help or hinder leadership effectiveness in the healthcare setting.
My Jung Typology Test results indicate that I am ISTJ, which stands for Introverted, Sensing Thinking and Judging. ISTJs have a reputation for being practical, reliable, and responsible. It is more common for them to prefer working alone or with small groups and use their own knowledge, logic, and experience. ISTJs have a tendency to be organized and methodical. They are driven by a sense of duty, and they follow the rules and procedures with great care. You can describe them as serious and reserved.
The relationship between leadership style and personality type:
ISTJ personalities possess many positive traits that enhance leadership skills in the healthcare industry. They are well-suited to positions that demand attention to details and strict compliance with rules and procedures.
