In my professional and personal philosophy, I am rooted in the belief that patients must be treated with compassion, respect and dignity. As a nurse I feel it’s my duty to make sure that each patient gets safe and quality care tailored to their needs. For this purpose, I choose to follow an evidence-based approach. This approach, which uses research and best practice to inform my decisions, allows me make optimal care while making informed choices. It can also improve the outcomes of patients by promoting collaboration among nurses and healthcare professionals. Evidence-based nursing practice also encourages critical thought, which allows me to stay abreast of new developments and provide effective care for my patients.

This approach is well suited to my personal leadership style because it emphasizes the importance of working together as a team towards a common goal—providing high quality care for each individual patient we serve. As a manager, I work to establish relationships with my co-workers so that we can collaborate more efficiently to provide better patient outcomes. The use of evidence-based practices also promotes communication among healthcare providers by encouraging transparency so that everyone can access relevant information to make decisions regarding patient care. This approach allows me, in general, to deliver exceptional nursing care while also ensuring that all patients are treated with respect regardless of medical conditions or backgrounds.
