Health behavior discussion 1 | Nursing homework help
One health behavior that I would like to improve upon is exercising. Exercise is incredibly important for our overall wellbeing; it helps maintain a healthy weight, boosts energy levels, strengthens muscles and bones, and reduces stress. Unfortunately, my current exercise routine falls short of the recommended amount of physical activity each day. I’m not very active on a daily basis, and when I do manage to fit in some exercise, it tends to be sporadic rather than part of a consistent routine. This means that my body isn’t getting the full benefit associated with regular physical activity.
I have been trying different strategies over the past year to improve my physical fitness level but have yet to find something that works for me in terms of establishing an effective exercise plan. My initial attempt was to create a goal-oriented program where I set specific goals each week and then tracked my progress toward those objectives; however, this method soon became tedious and uninspiring as time went on. More recently I’ve tried scheduling out at least three days per week devoted solely to working out; although this has helped me become more accountable for making sure that I stay active during these designated times slots, there are still occasions when external factors interrupt or derail my plans altogether which hinders any forward momentum gained from prior successes.
Ultimately what I need is an approach where exercises becomes ingrained into my lifestyle rather than just another item on my ever growing list of tasks that must be completed by a certain date/time frame in order for me meet arbitrary standards or expectations imposed by others (or even myself). To achieve this end goal effectively will require patience – both for myself as well as those around me – since forming new habits takes time and dedication if one wishes them stick long term versus being temporary solutions meant only provide immediate gratification without guaranteeing lasting results in the future should similar circumstances arise again down line . Nonetheless if successful , such an endeavor can prove extremely beneficial not just physically but mentally as well given how much better equipped one can feel after completing their chosen form(s) exercise whether its running , biking , yoga.
