You can become involved as a nurse advocacy in the evaluation of a policy or program after it’s been implemented for an entire year. In order to obtain feedback, I’d recommend contacting stakeholders who were impacted directly by the new policy. You could do this through interviews or surveys to gather honest feedback. Using my knowledge on healthcare, I could also review relevant documents such as research papers and reports published by government agencies.
After compiling all the available data, I would create a detailed report describing what modifications were made and if they worked. In addition, I could analyze any health trends that might indicate if more adjustments are required. Ultimately, these steps could help ensure that programs stay effective for a long time and allow nurses such as myself to become active members of our profession.
