This leads to an increase in disease and untreated illness. This pandemic further exposes these vulnerabilities. Disparities in the access to vaccination and testing have disproportionately impacted certain communities.
The Solution Proposal
We propose to address these challenges by implementing a transformational change in our healthcare system that is focused on equity, prevention and affordability. The change requires a coordinated effort from all parties, including payers and health care providers as well as policymakers and community organizations. This proposed change has three main components:
