In my Stock-Trak Portfolio, I divided funds between a number of different assets. The stocks included were from different industries, such as retail and technology; government bonds and corporate bonds; commodities like gold and crude oil; as well as mutual funds that contained multiple asset classes.

I chose this combination in an effort to diversify the portfolio—combining riskier investments with more reliable ones—while also taking into account the current state of the market. I also looked at assets with potential to grow over time, while avoiding any that were too volatile and could risk my gains. The end result was that I created a portfolio with a balance of assets, allowing me to enjoy positive returns while maintaining security and stability.
