Leadership is the skill of motivating, directing and guiding people to a shared goal. A leader may be in charge of setting up strategic goals, giving orders to his team and offering support/guidance to make sure that the tasks are done on time.
The act of managing resources, such as finances or personnel, is to accomplish specific goals. Managers may, for instance, be responsible for budgeting money to fund projects and recruiting new employees. They also supervise the day-to-day operations in an organization.
Coaches provide guidance and instruction to others to develop the skills and knowledge that will help them perform better in their jobs. An example of this would be a leader who takes time out from their regular duties in order to mentor someone on their team – imparting strategies which have worked for them in the past as well as providing constructive feedback when needed.
