Health services project management: Tools and techniques
The Gantt chart I made and budget that i created would be used by me as an administrator in health care, to look at the long and short term goals of the situation. Gantt charts allow me to see how the task is planned over time, and this can be used to better understand possible bottlenecks. It also gives me an overview of the resource allocation, so I can identify where more investment may be required.
The budget on the other hand gives me insight into what monetary resources are required for each task – thereby allowing for better financial planning as well. By comparing the actual expenditures with those projected during the initial stages of development, one can determine how well costs are managed.
Ultimately then, by leveraging these two tools together I am able to get a much clearer picture of what is actually happening with regards to given initiative – thus enabling make more accurate assessments along way
