Social Cognitive Theory, I think is the best theory for this topic. The Social Cognitive Theory has been used extensively to study how people learn and grow through observation and interaction with their surroundings. It states that behavior is a result of both external influences from the environment as well as internal influences from an individual’s thoughts, beliefs, and attitudes. Thus this theory suggests that in order for change to occur, there must be an interaction between a person’s behaviors and their environment.
This framework can be very useful when studying behaviors like physical activity and eating habits. It helps us to understand the reactions of individuals in different situations, as well as why they choose certain behaviors over others. Furthermore, it provides useful insight into how changes in environmental factors such as access to healthy food options or recreational activities can affect individuals’ decisions which are necessary when designing health promotion programs. Social Cognitive Theory is a holistic approach that offers an understanding of behavior. It’s the best framework to use for my topic.
