Discuss your library search strategies and briefly summarize the literature you reviewed.

In order to find relevant literature on my topic, leadership in healthcare I searched extensively through Google Scholar, CINAHL, ProQuest, and PubMed. To narrow down the results, I used keywords such as “nursing leadership” or “healthcare management” while also sorting by date so that only the most recent publications were included.

After reviewing 10 articles in peer-reviewed publications, I focused my attention on the different aspects of leadership within nursing, such as models of effective leadership, strategies of improving staff motivation and morale, impact of nurses on patient outcomes, and nurturing relationship-based healthcare throughout organizations. These articles gave valuable insights on how to best lead your team in order to foster a supportive environment which promotes high-quality care, while also contributing to better health outcomes for patients.
