The quiz made me realize that there is a need for reform of the U.S. Health Care System to make it affordable and more effective. Currently, our system is quite fragmented with a mix of public and private sectors which can lead to disparities in access and cost depending on one’s location or income level. There are also significant administrative expenses associated with the management of various insurance plans, which increase costs for individuals and companies.
To improve the healthcare system, I believe we should adopt a model of single payer where all people have access to good quality care regardless of their economic situation. This could reduce administrative waste and ensure that coverage is provided for those who would otherwise be unable to afford it because they are facing high costs. Providing incentives to encourage preventative measures such as annual health checks or nutritionist visits could help lower long-term costs and promote people’s well-being. These changes will require additional investments in research, infrastructure, and technology. However, they are likely to provide better efficiency over the long-term and improve patient satisfaction.
