EBP policy was originally developed in response to outdated traditional care methods that lacked scientific support. As such, this approach has been incorporated into many healthcare institutions’ policies and guidelines in order to ensure that quality patient care is being delivered through evidence-based interventions rather than relying solely on provider preferences or anecdotal experience.
Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) is a new concept in healthcare that aims to promote greater transparency and improve the quality of decision-making. It does this by making use of current evidence, while also encouraging better communication between doctors and patients about treatment options. This model is likely to continue evolving as more research and clinical guidelines are developed.
