Gross domestic product for the third week
In the numbers collected by the American survey of businesses, it is clear that while an optimistic outlook prevails in general for the future economy, many are still concerned with potential political and economic risks. A majority of the businesses surveyed said that they do not intend to increase their investments in capital or hire more staff due to uncertainty. If this trend persists, it could be a serious problem for the economy as it could indicate a lack in confidence. This would lead to fewer jobs being created and more difficulty in raising funds for new projects. This uncertainty could also result in a decrease in consumer spending, which would further hinder growth. In general, the results show that it is important to minimize any economic risks in order for the economy to remain stable.
