Nursing theories of quality are essential concepts as they help to understand and evaluate the level of care provided. Total Quality Management, or TQM for short, is the quality theory most often used by nurses. TQM focuses on developing processes and system to make sure that services satisfy customers’ needs. It is important to implement controls and feedback mechanisms in order to evaluate the effectiveness, efficiency and safety of care.
Lean is another quality theory that applies to nursing. This management system eliminates waste through streamlining processes such as ordering supplies, updating medical records, scheduling appointments etc so that resources can be utilized more efficiently while also reducing wait times & improving overall productivity achieved by particular unit/department/facility in question here today . On top of this it can also include value-stream mapping & process improvement initiatives designed around eliminating any unneeded steps present within current workflow procedure thereby leading towards shorter turnaround time when dealing with different patient cases moving forward.
Finally, Six Sigma was developed to help organizations reduce defects due implementation standardized methods aimed at removing variation from production procedures by utilizing DMAIC (Define–Measure–Analyze–Improve–Control) approach for measuring & managing performance metrics related areas where improvements could be made over long term horizon through improved accuracy achieved via investments into reengineering workflows already established within organization leading towards higher level satisfaction amongst organizational stakeholders both internally & externally alike regardless if customers come visit hospitals/clinics etc due sudden health concerns/issues arise during course their life journey or simply just regular checkups
