I base my personal leadership philosophy on the belief that leaders who are effective inspire and empower their followers. A good leader, to me, is someone who has not only strong interpersonal and technical skills but also an ongoing commitment to learning and growing. As a manager, I try to reflect on myself and understand my own strengths, as well as where there are areas of improvement. In addition, I place a high priority on developing relationships with team members, demonstrating honesty, respect, fairness and empathy. In order to achieve this, I create positive environments that encourage team members to develop professionally and feel supported on their journey. Ultimately, it is my goal that through developing authentic connections between myself and the people I lead will result in the creation of meaningful work output that contributes positively to both our organization’s objectives as well as individual goals.
