Person 1: The individual suffers from lower back chronic pain since 8 years. These individuals described intense episodes of pain lasting anywhere between a couple hours and several days. Due to pain, they reported difficulty sleeping as well as difficulty participating in physical activities. Due to limited mobility, and the lack of interaction outside their homes with other people, they also reported feeling lonely and isolated.
Person 2 has lived with shoulder pain due to an accident sustained at work for the past 4 years. The pain is so severe that despite trying many different treatments, the person has not found relief. She often finds it hard to do everyday things like carrying groceries and reaching for overhead objects. In addition, they said that managing their care on top of working full-time left them feeling stressed and overwhelmed. They were also concerned about the financial impact of not being able work to full capacity.
Person 3: The individual has persistent neck pain caused by working at home and sitting in front a screen for long periods of time. She described her experience as one where she’s constantly battling against tightness which makes it difficult for her focus on tasks or even carry out basic activities such as cooking meals or cleaning around the house without taking frequent breaks in between each task.
