To reach a consensus about the best way to deal with conflict, I must first establish a collaborative atmosphere between myself and the nurse leader. To do this, I would ensure that both of us understand each other’s views and opinions by actively listening to one another’s points of view and engaging in open dialogue. In addition, I’d try to show empathy for the other side while also stating my thoughts clearly so we could gain an understanding of our positions.
After establishing a basic level of mutual understanding, you can use techniques to solve problems such as brainstorming possible solutions and strategies. Both parties should be willing to share their thoughts on the best way they see to resolve a situation, while being open-minded about other options. It will be easier to agree on a course of action after all the possible options have been explored.

Working together at all stages will make it easier to resolve any conflicts or disagreements before they become more serious.
