Capstone Project Change Proposal Presentation (topic Fall Prevention

My presentation was more effective because of the interprofessional collaboration. To ensure I covered all aspects, I spoke to a range of professionals in the healthcare field, including doctors, nurses and physical therapists. It allowed me to present a unbiased view of the problem while incorporating the evidence from experts with different levels and types of knowledge.

Consultations with inter-disciplinary teams also gave me the opportunity to access multiple resources, which allowed me to develop a well-rounded and comprehensive presentation on my topic. As an example, I was able to access additional drug therapies by consulting with pharmacy specialists. Without their input, I may not have been able to do so. In comparison to my previous presentations, this allowed me to give more information on the drugs I used to treat patients.

Interacting with colleagues of different disciplines gave me invaluable feedback about how I should approach certain elements of my presentation. It enabled me, therefore, to convey a powerful message that was more effective than before.
