Individuals can manage stress by taking breaks to reset, reenergize and use mindfulness techniques like meditation and yoga. They should also maintain a healthy lifestyle and get enough sleep. And they should talk through their issues instead of burying them. Additionally, individuals should also make sure they are engaging in activities that bring them joy – whether it is reading books or going for walks in nature.
Organisations can assist employees in managing stress by offering resources like mental health counseling or flexible work hours to those that need them. Also, they should encourage preventative measures like encouraging staff to have regular breaks and clearly defining expectations for workload so employees don’t feel overwhelmed. Finally companies can create an environment where open dialogue about stressors is encouraged – this way people will feel comfortable discussing their concerns without fear of judgement or reprisal which will ultimately benefit everyone involved.
