Benchmark – personal worldview and model of leadership | nur 674
The basis of my personal leadership style is the concept of cultivating an environment of collaboration, where employees are motivated to collaborate to reach common goals. The difference between servant leadership and transformational leaders is that the former focuses on individuals and the latter on inspiring and motivating people with a shared goal. A second model called the Charismatic Leadership Model also motivates workers to become part of a bigger vision by having their leaders demonstrate emotional intelligence through leading by example.
All four leadership models are unique in their approach to managing others. However, they also share a lot of similarities. For example, all four models take into consideration employee needs as well as organizational goals. They also emphasize communication and mutual trust among staff. By understanding the four different types of leadership, one can develop their own style and approach to lead effectively in every situation.
