Define briefly advanced nursing practice. Include the roles of clinical practice, primary health care, education and administration. Separate ANP from APN. Define the role of advanced nursing practice you are aspiring to, and describe how your experience and skills have affected your decision.
Then, summarize the interview you conducted with a person who is in your chosen advanced practice role. Check the requirements and regulations of the states in which you will be practicing or working. You should identify the membership options available to you based upon your chosen role and determine required qualifications and certification requirements.
Define the type of organization, setting and population you will be working with. Also, describe your colleagues. Define your leadership style, and how it is related to the leadership qualities that you already possess or are working on developing. You will need to apply the leadership style that you plan on using in the advanced role of your practice.
Review the relevant literature for the role of advanced practitioners and health policy.

- What is the regulatory agency for nursing education?
If you choose the first category, explain the current policies or trends. Then decide if there is a need for change. If you are against change, explain why. Support opposition by explaining the necessary steps to be taken in order to bring about the desired change. How could you lead or influence a change or maintain the current policy and its impact on quality of healthcare?
In summary, highlight the key points in your document. You should use current publications, standard of practice, certification bodies, core competencies and standards for the role you have chosen. Also, ensure that APA formatting is used. You should limit your paper to 8-10 pages (excluding the reference and title pages).
