Written Reflection:
Through my formal learning of ethics, I’ve gained a better understanding of how important ethical issues are in different contexts. It is important to ensure that people and organizations make ethical decisions and act with moral responsibility. As a result of my research, I learned that there are many ethical theories and frameworks which can be used in different circumstances. There is also a model for ethical decision-making that individuals and organizations can use to make sound ethical decisions.
Collaborations with peers and teachers were a significant part of my educational experience. Through these collaborations, I had the opportunity to engage in thought-provoking discussions, share perspectives, and learn from others’ experiences. Through these collaborations, I was able to gain a greater understanding of the complexity of ethics issues and how important it is to consider multiple perspectives in making ethical decisions.
The case studies that we discussed and analyzed in class also were challenging and eye-opening, because they forced us to consider real ethical dilemmas, and the possible consequences of making different decisions. The case studies I studied helped me develop my critical thinking and analyze situations with a nuanced view.
My formal learning about ethics has proven to be valuable and rewarding. In my professional and personal life, I am better prepared to deal with ethical issues and make good ethical choices. Collaborations and discussion with instructors and peers have played a major role in my education. I’m looking forward to implementing these lessons into my future endeavours.
