Identify and describe 3 main roadblocks to control greenhouse gas emissions in order to reach an international agreement.
STUDY HIGHLIGHTS:
Climate change is controversial
The measures can be taken to mitigate and adapt o climate change at local, national and international levels
ASSIGNMENT INSTRUCTION:
Review CHAPTER 18.5 – Responding to Climate Change (Environmental Science, Wright 13e, pg.457-463), and write a study journal to respond all following questions/subjects:
Trace the history of the international conferences and their outcomes shown in Table 18-5, pg. 461, what are 3 main goals of these international efforts? Specify the important efforts and outcomes in order to reach these goals at international levels.
Identify and describe 3 main roadblocks to control greenhouse gas emissions in order to reach an international agreement. Based on what you have learned from this class, you are required to develop a individualized strategy planning to deal with these roadblocks, and explain how to operate your strategy at global level in next 20 years (your 20-year operational plan) if you have UNLIMITED resource (yea – have fun with your plan!).
NOTES:
This is a REFLECTION JOURNAL, which means you write a short paper to demonstrate your learning outcomes from ASSIGNED material. The journal shall FULLY cover the subjects as requested, and be typed and well-organized essay format (maximum 1,000 words).
The REQUIRED textbook is required and primary study source. The page numbers need to be included (e.g., biodiversity, pg.8) to show where you learn the key points such as definitions, facts, data, research findings when needed. The reference(s) and in-text citation (APA or MLA format) need to be correctly written and presented if use supplementary materials other than textbook(s).
The rubric shows how this assignment will be graded.
